Meet the Downtown Experience Engineers
The Modesto Downtown Improvement District is committed to fostering a clean, safe, and inviting environment in the downtown area. A dedicated four-member Downtown Ambassadors team works six days a week to maintain the district's appearance and support the community. Their responsibilities include removing graffiti and litter, collecting trash from all public receptacles, blowing leaves, and power washing public areas as needed. In addition to enhancing the cleanliness of streets and sidewalks, the team also provides a visible safety presence to help ensure a welcoming atmosphere for residents, businesses, and visitors.
